GENERATORS

The fuel-free backup generators.
The moto-alternator in ‘engine mode’, is supplied with energy by the city’s electric network, the moto-compressor is thus driven. During this process, the device is in ‘compressor mode’ it fills or keeps the high pressure tanks to required level.
In the event of a breakdown in the electric network, the moto-compressor is automatically switched in ‘engine mode’ and supplied by the compressed air in the tanks, drives the moto-alternator in ‘alternator mode’ to produce electricity.
The MDI’s engines (moto-compressor / moto-alternator) are particular adapted to be used in    fuel free backup generators.

The production generators.
Thanks their efficiency, the dual-energy engines allow for the production of electricity at a very low cost.
MDI is also studying a variable speed generator mostly adapted to the torque and power of its engines.
The main issues with electric supply are storage and transport. The MDI solution suggests the production of electricity as and when needed and on the spot. The storage is then in the form of the energetic adjuvant of the generator’s engine.
A racking system makes it possible to increase and regulate the power depending on the needed energy. (Power management is performed by activating the units placed on the rack). The maintenance of a unit may be performed without stopping the others. Additionally the operating time of each unit can be electronically controlled to ensure an equal use of the different engines.

Cogeneration:
Furthermore because of the manner in which they were set up and designed, the MDI engines can generate both heat and cold; based on compression and expansion of gas (i.e. air), thus it is just a matter of retrieving the calories.
The modularity is similar to the generators, consequently allowing for air conditioning or heating for both individual use and via networks.
